Springdale's metropolitan area ranks as one of the nation's most affordable areas to live with a cost of living well below the national average. Each quarter, The Council for Community and Economic Research releases its ACCRA Cost of Living Index of six key indices as well as the composite index for 312 urban areas in the country. The 2nd Quarter report of 2011 shows Springdale's metro composite index at 86.0 on a 100% scale...14% below the national average and among the top 10 most affordable metro areas in which to live in the U.S.
