Springdale Parks
A Perfect Retreat...
Take a look at any great city, anywhere in the country, and you will find a city with great parks. Green space and a commitment by city governments to provide for the recreation of its citizens has long been considered an important aspect in any city's quality of life.
Springdale is well aware of that need and provides for its citizens some of the best park facilities in the region. From the magnificent Randal Tyson Sports Complex on the west side of town to the remarkably quaint but updated Murphy Park downtown to the girls's softball and park complex at J.B. Hunt Park in north Springdale to Bayyari Park -- the city's newest park, the city continues to improve and expand its quality park offerings.
In charge of all the city’s park facilities is the Springdale Parks and Recreation Department. To reserve a park pavilion or for further information, call them at 479-750-8185. You can also visit the city’s Parks and Recreation Department online at

Oldest of the city's parks is Murphy Park, located in the heart of Springdale. New to is the award-winning $4 million Springdale Aquatic Park. Accompanying the Aquatic Park are several walking trails, picnic areas and play areas that the entire family will enjoy. The large shade trees and duck pond enhance the parks beauty and keep visitors comfortable on hot simmer days. The park is also home to several geese and ducks that freely wander the area. Adjacent to Murphy Park is the newly expanded Springdale Public Library.
Aquatic Park
The largest public aquatic center in the region is the award-winning Springdale Aquatic Park. Thousands of families from across Northwest Arkansas make their way to the $4 million facility's multiple pools and slides each summer. A competitive swimming and diving pool as well as a large play pool dominate the facility. Large twisting slides empty into the play pool while two other areas are dedicated to the younger tots not quite ready for the open water.
